Squash Coaching

The Stormont Squash programme is headed by Brendon Mounter who administers as well as coaches the programmes through the Drop Shot Squash Academy. Brendon is ultimately responsible for delivering the coaching programmes – working with the members, the community and local schools, growing participation and making our sport even more accessible.

Whether you have a 5 year old just picking up a racket for the first time, have decided to give racketball a try or you are a team/club player, the coaching team will be able to help you to develop and improve your game. Our coaching team have experience of coaching players of all ages and ability and will work with you to develop your skills and technique to make your game more competitive and enjoyable.

Adam Edge is a Level 3 qualified England Squash coach.  Adam’s home county is Buckinghamshire and has been working with juniors across Bucks and a county level. • Brendon Mounter: England Squash Level 3 coach. Part of the Play Squash coaching who leads all the junior, senior and ladies group coaching programmes. • Daniel Moreno: Daniel is a Middlesex Junior Squash Coach and an England Squash Level 2 Coach based in North London, he is currently delivering a range of squash training programmes to both juniors and adults at Oakleigh Park (N20 ) and Stormont (N6). He came to squash relatively late but developed rapidly both as a player and a quality coach thanks to his sports background, dedication and passion for the sport. Daniel grew up in Barcelona where, as a junior, he was a high performance tennis player competing at national level. Daniel has a BA (Hons) in Economics, a MSc in Banking and Finance and a 20 year long career in the finance sector. “When I played squash for the first time, I fell in love with the sport right away: the intensity, the pace, so much fun! I think my tennis background gave me a head start but I soon realised the transition to squash would not be plain sailing as the technique and movement in these two racket sports are rather different. I now play for the Stormont team in the Middlesex Seniors Squash League and enjoy coaching players of all ages and abilities”

• Nat Hodge: England Squash Level 2 coach.  Has been playing at the club since 6 years old and is a member of the Stormont 1st Team.  Nat is also a Middlesex Junior Squash coach.  Nat is available for individual sessions particularly with new players and juniors.  Tel: 07788 655570 email: hodgenat@hotmail.com

Stormont has a full weekly programme of activities which includes termly junior coaching programmes on a Tuesdays and Fridays, and club night on Wednesday from 7.30pm at which everyone is welcome.
